DAY 1 VIA Rail's 'Canadian'   Vancouver
Transfer to VIA Rail Station on your own. Your vacation begins with an evening departure from Vancouver on VIA Rail's 'Canadian' Silver & Blue service, with Dome and classic dining car (dinner included).

DAY 2 Jasper
In the early morning you will enter the Canadian Rockies, travelling in daylight to the resort town of Jasper. Winding through the Yellowhead Pass, view Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper in mid-afternoon to begin a 2 night stay.

DAY 3 Jasper
A morning "Discover Jasper" guided excursion takes you to Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon. Continue on your way to Maligne Lake (seasonal*) and board a 90 minute interpretive tour. The rest of the afternoon is free to shop and explore the townsite.

Day 4 Jasper to Banff. Venturing down the spectacular Icefields Parkway with our driver, marvel at the natural beauty along one of Canada's most scenic routes. Ride our Ice Explorer onto Athabasca Glacier and stand on 1,000 feet of ice. Continue south and watch for wildlife as you enter Banff National Park. Overnight Banff area

Day 5 Banff to Lake Louise A morning guided excursion takes us to the top of Sulphur Mountain for a 360 degree panorama of of six mountain ranges. This afternoon travel by briefly by motor coach to pristine Lake Louise

Day 6 Lake Louise to Lac Le Jeune. Cross the continental divide into British Columbia's remarkable and divers landscapes; soaring mountains, deep canyons, roaring rivers and massive lakes. A lunch stop in the heart of this scenery sets the pace for your evening dinner on the unspoiled shores of Lac Le Jeune.

Day 7 Lac Le Jeune to Vancouver. After a hearty breakfast, travel the Gold Rush Trail to Lillooet, where yo enjoy lunch with fellow travellers. This afternoon, the incredible Duffey Lake Road crosses over the Coast Mountains up to the alpine village of Whistler. Another grand roadway traveles the specitacular Sea to Sky Higway to Vancouver. Enjoy the evening and morning in the sophiscated city of Vancouver where the ocean activities are bountiful.
