Travel from the Pacific to the Atlantic Coast
with two train services - VIA Rail & Rocky Mountaineer -
with a luxury motorcoach excursion through the Canadian Rockies'
mountains, emerald lakes and forests. On this comprehensive
vacation you will experience the different faces of Canada:
prairies, oldest and largest cities, the lush Niagara region,
and the Maritime provinces with many meals and day tours.
DAY
1 Vancouver
Upon arrival into Vancouver, tranfser on your own to your hotel.

2 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops
This morning board the 'Rocky Mountaineer' to begin your train
adventure. Transfer to the station is on your own. Travel through
to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia.

3 Banff
Today your rail adventure continues into the Canadian Rockies.
Travel through the famous Spiral Tunnels in Yoho National Park
and continue on to Banff National Park. Transfer to your selected
hotel in Banff.

4 Banff
In the morning your 'Discover Banff' excursion will take you
through the town of Banff and its surroundings. Visit the historic
Cave & Basin, see the views from Tunnel Mountain Drive and
take a ride up Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola (included).
Enjoy a free afternoon in Banff.
DAY
5 Lake Louise
Depart this morning on your tour that takes you past Vermilion
Lakes to Johnston Canyon and on to Lake Louise (seasonal*) along
the scenic 1A Highway.

6 & 7 Jasper
Your full day excursion takes you along the scenic Icefields
Parkway, stopping at the Columbia Icefield. Enjoy an "Ice
Explorer" ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier. Continue
on to Jasper for a two night stay. The next day, in the morning
you will see the beauty of Jasper and its surrounding rugged
peaks. Your three hour excursion includes Medicine and Maligne
Lakes and Maligne Canyon.

8 & 9 VIA Rail's 'Canadian' to Toronto
Your morning is at leisure. This afternoon board VIA Rail's
Silver & Blue class eastbound to Toronto. Meals onboard
the train are included. Travel through the Central Plains of
Canada to Winnipeg and then continue on to scenic Northern Ontario.

10, 11 & 12 Toronto
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are once again included onboard
the train. Arrive at Toronto's Union Station in the evening,
transfer on your own to your selected hotel. Check in to your
hotel located in cosmopolitan downtown Toronto. On Day 11, tour
vibrant Toronto in the morning. Highlights of this two hour
tour includes New and Old City Halls, Parliament Buildings,
University of Toronto, Yorkville, Chinatown, Harbourfront and
the Financial district. On Day 12, you'll join a full day excursion
to famous Niagara Falls (including lunch, seasonal*) highlights
this day. This tour also takes in the beautiful and historic
region of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

13 Ottawa
Today, depart on VIA Rail's service bound for Ottawa, Canada's
capital city. A meal will be included onboard the train. Transfer
on your own to your hotel in Ottawa.

14 Ottawa
This morning, tour the nation's "Capital" highlighted
by Canada's Parliament Buildings, the Embassies, the Prime Minister's
residence, Rideau Falls and Canal. A free afternoon is yours
to explore the National Arts Centre, walk the parks, or visit
Canada's Parliament (walking distance from hotel).
DAY
15 Montreal
Transfer on your own back to the Ottawa train station. Depart
for your journey to fabulous Montreal (includes a meal onboard).
On arrival at Montreal's Central Station, you will transfer
on your own to your selected hotel.
DAY
16 Montreal
Your discovery of Montreal, the world's second-largest French-speaking
city, begins with a city tour including Old Montreal, Notre
Dame Basilica, Olympic Park and Mount Royal Park for a view
of Montreal Harbour and the St. Lawrence River. The remainder
of the day is yours to explore cafes and boutiques, or the extensive
"underground" including shops and restaurants.

17 Quebec City
After your free morning, continue your rail trip with VIA Rail
to the charms of Quebec City. You'll enjoy a meal on the train
and upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel.

18 Quebec City
Today, start with a morning sightseeing tour of the only walled
city in North America. Highlights of your two hour tour include
the Latin Quarter, the Plains of Abraham, the Ramparts, world
famous Chateau Frontenac, the National Assembly, the Basilica,
City Hall, Place Royale, the Citadelle and a glimpse of modern
Quebec City. Spend the afternoon exploring Quebec's many art
shops, galleries, boutiques, pastry shops and excellent restaurants.

19 & 20 VIA Rail's 'Ocean' to Halifax
Your day is at leisure, before your evening rail journey to
Halifax. VIA Rail's 'Ocean' is the finest way to appreciate
the splendid scenery of Canada's Maritime provinces. After a
dreamy sleep, this morning enjoy a continental breakfast before
arriving in Halifax. Feel free to explore the train and discover
how train travel has come of age in Atlantic Canada. A late
afternoon arrival and transfer on your own to your hotel begins
your stay in Atlantic Canada.

Check out of your Halifax hotel to conclude your Coast to Coast
vacation.
Additional
